After 5 days the mites and lice are going away from your horse. They can not digest the horses blood anymore, and therefore can not reproduce and die slowly. If there are many lice and mites present in the stable, these will subsequently want to settle again on the warm legs of a horse. Beware, they will also be effected again when they have sucked blood. So if it takes longer before you see obvious effect it is advisable to thoroughly clean the stable with a lot of water.
