Finecto+ method for reptiles

Accessibility is essential. The lice like to hide in dark places in the terrarium to lay eggs. These are mostly in the seams and cracks, but also in the litter. Because we know for sure that these parasites need to suck blood for breeding, we know we can reach them on the reptiles themselves.

Treating lice and mites via the reptile

We do this by feeding the reptiles Finecto + Oral (in the mouse or other food). This ensures that the blood of reptiles is no longer digestible for the mites and lice and therefore they can not lay new eggs.

In addition, we can reach the lice and mites in the terrarium itself with the Finecto+ Protect spray.

By spraying the cracks and seams with Finecto+ Protect, you make the blood mite problem manageable. Make sure that the temperature is below 28 degrees. At higher temperatures, the blood mite goes into rest mode and will not move within the terrarium across the places that have been sprayed with Finecto+ Protect.

The Finecto+ Protect Spray has in principle been developed for birds and chickens. Experience has shown however that the Finecto+ Protect Spray can also be used in terrariums that have problems with mites. The Finecto+ Protect spray does not affect the health of your reptiles. If you have problems with mites, we advise you to spray the cracks and seams every 6 to 8 weeks with Finecto+ Protect. Take into account that the spray leaves behind a white haze.

Use both products to reach all mites and lice in the terrarium and get the best result.
